The spirit - as pure spirit - is the greatest power in the universe and - yes - can do anything including creating limitations to its powers. Why? As Light is writing in Book II - by placing limitations on its abilities and powers spirit is able to test those abilities and powers, thus gaining greater understanding and awareness of them. How to limit the powers? With the device of the mind. As Light writes: "Those who would understand spirit must have understanding of the mind of spirit." It is the mind of spirit that is complex, for spirit has designed it that way as a means of providing the testing, the challenges, and the explorations that spirit seeks. All of spirit is one and is one with God, but through the device of the mind spirit is able to experience being divided and separate as many aspects of God. You will be happy to know that Light's "watch words" for the writing of Odyssey, Book II: Light: The Act of Creation is to find the simplicity in the complexity. We thank you sincerely for your reminder of the importance of simplicity. By the way, it is the job of the mind to manifest what spirit wants (desires/wills). It is also the job of the mind to file, if you would, in the memory banks all that spirit wills. When a spirit, such as yourself or myself, asks for something by wanting, desiring, willing, suggesting it - the mind checks its memory banks. If there is a memory of a desire that is opposing to the present will the mind must make a determination of which will to manifest. It does this by assessing the energy with each. Emotions have energy. Time has energy. Repetition (how often asked for) has energy. Physical is energy. Spiritual is energy. Mental is energy. The will with the greatest attached energy "wins". Which is why we ask for things and don't get them. When clients come in with goals they haven't reached "no matter what I've tried" we check to see where the block is: whether the spirit (Higher Self) is blocking for soul growth of self or others or whether there is a block in the mind due to conflicting wills and desires - either in the past, the present, and sometimes the future. Once blocks have been cleared (like old subconscious programming or opposing emotions) many of the things one has tried in the past will now work. We (spirits) forget how much power we (our spirits) have given the mind. We also forget we have never given our minds the power to over-rule our spirits, BUT we also forget how complex our minds are and thus how complex the levels of spirit in the mind are. I think you will enjoy Light's book. Watch for it. By the way, Light describes itself in the book as follows: "I Am Light. I Am The Light. I Am The Consciousness of Light. I Am The Spirit of LIght. Yet these "spirits" are being channeled by people other than the souls of Abraham and Peter. This bring up some question: Who, really is being channeled." Since I am a person who strongly believe in God Almighty, the one and the only God who created this whole universe, I feel I must give you the correct answer for your question. The God that Abraham believes in is the same God of Adam, Moses, Jesus and Mohamed. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, he submitted to the will of God and did not worship others besides God! When God reviled him self to his profits, he made it clear that he is above all, that we are here to worship and obey him. When he send messages to his profits, he made it in a miraculous way. And with all his profits, God made it clear that there is a day of Judgement. Profit Abraham asked God to show him how he makes the dead alive. The thing that God will do at the day of Judgement. God asked him, why are you asking for such thing, you don't trust me? Abraham answered, I do trust you my Lord, but for my heart to have peace. Then God ordered Abraham to go get 4 different kinds of birds and to kill them by cutting them into pieces. Then he asked him to scatter them in different far places - such as mountains, then to go somewhere in the middle of these places and call the birds (the cut dead birds). Abraham did what God told him and the four birds came alive to him! Praise be to God, the Lord of the Worlds. God is the One Who created the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them. He is the One Who created the night, the day, the Sun and the Moon. Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own motion. Master of Light, and Master of Spirit are only creators created by God. They belong to the dynasty of Jinn, whom God created from smokeless fire. God created the Jinn before he created human beings and they are unseen by the naked eye. God defined the purpose of mankind's and Jinn creation: FOR ONLY TO WORSHIP HIM. With every human being God creates, he assigns a Qareen. The Qareen is the Jinn mate or companion of the human being and that is what you refer to as higher self. The Qareen is made of Jinn and since the creation of Jinn is different from that of the human beings, their actions are also different. They are also of different kinds just as the human beings are of different races. When we die, we do not go to the light, we go to a place called Barzak where we wait till the Day of Judgement. (not to ignore it, though, of course.) i saw these spirit bodies all over the world. it was great. i was quite disappointed to be my normal self later, but i guess we can't be enlightened all at once! i was also very psychic for a while after this experience. anyway, i would definitely like to read this book! i'm so glad you put it online. i believe that we come accross things as we're ready for them. i'm glad i came across this. :) debbie <Munkesmile@aol.com> CA USA - Friday, April 07, 2000 at 15:38:43 (MDT) Someone suggested that I click onto your site. I'm so glad I did. I only had time to read your section about pets - will read much more later. You mentioned Edgar Cayce - the best friend I ever had became associated with Edgar Cayce and assisted in the writing of "The Story of Jesus," and wrote "Attitudes and Emotions." His name is Jeffrey Furst. Jeff died about 19 years ago. Some people think I'm nuts because I can communicate with my cats. My youngest granddaughter has seen the communication and tells the rest of the family that it does happen. Some people have seen the communication between me and animals in the zoo in Tyler, Texas, especially the big cats (leopards and cheetahs). I don't know why cats more than other animals. I was never raised with cats - only dogs and other animals (chickens, a pet goat, rabbits). The estate next to my parents home was considered a bird refuge (in the '40s and '50s). We lived close to a big wooded area and had cats come in to try to get to all the birds. Actually, I learned to shoot a rifle by shooting the big bobcats to save the birds that today would have been on an endangered species list. I jokingly say that God is sending me so many cats (7 of my own and several strays I care for) to make up for those I had to shoot. Rationally speaking, there were a lot more cats than there were the cedar waxwings and other rare birds. All of my cats were "throw aways." Two are special breeds - Turkish Angora (Princess Snowflake) and a Russian Blue (Tina). Snowflake is the type of TA that almost became extinct in the 1800s. Some Turkish people who were visiting in Houston told me this when they saw her picture. I apologize for the long message, but I just felt the compulsion to do so.
