DECREASING STRESS We all live with stress. Some stress keeps the immune system and other survival mechanisms of the body well-tuned. Nutrients are very important for this as well. Many of the large food suppliers grow food in soil that has become depleted of nutrients. So unless you are eating foods grown by organic farmers you KNOW are not depleting the soil, taking vitamin and mineral supplements daily is highly recommended. One third of the people received relaxation training three times a week, one-third received individual "social contact" with researchers three times a week and the final third had no contact with any researchers. Those who learned to relax experienced a 32 % rise in their white blood cell levels (immune system improved), social contact group had an 18% rise, and no contact group had a 6% loss in white blood cells. TO RELEASE TENSION: Progressively tighten and release (let go of) tension in each area of the body. Doing the release quickly alerts the subconscious to isolate and immediately release tension.
RELAXATION TECHNIQUE: Release Tension First (As Above) If Present Starting with the scalp or the toes, relax each area of the body by focusing on it mentally and thinking: "Relax". As you do this, keep your breathing slow and deep, abdomen out as you breathe in and abdomen in as you breathe out. By the time you have relaxed every part of the body you are likely to be in a light to medium state of focused concentration, also known as an altered state, also known as a hypnotic state This is the best state of consciousness for self-suggestion, affirmations, visualizations, mental imagery, prayer and meditation. STRESS FORMULA For When Tension/Pressures/Stress Are High
L (left) Phenylalinine is a precursor of the neurotransmitters dopamine and norephinephrine in the brain. Increases alertness and assertiveness, suppresses appetite, and is an effective anti-depressant. The addition of D-(right) Phenylalinine slows the breakdown of endorphins, which also helps relieve physical pain. Note: Some people prefer 5-HTP to DLPA. Both are available at health food stores. Pro-biotics (pro=for and biotic=body) put into the body friendly flora and fauna that aid the digestion and the immune system. Acidophilus is a pro-biotic, but as much as 80% of Acidophilus (what is in live yogurt culture) is digested in the stomach. Enteric coated acidophilus capsules will protect the acidophilus culture from stomach acids so it gets into the intestines. Also available at health food stores and as Inulin at Beyond A Century. Avoid Constipation Eat fibrous Vegetables (Best) and fiber cereals with little or no sugar. (White sugar is toxic for most people, as are sugar substitutes. Raw sugar is better, but better still is Tupelo Honey. This type of honey does not spike blood sugar and can be used by diabetics. Xylitol is a natural sugar substitute (made from plants) that is sweeter than sugar, has 1/3 the calories, and makes it harder for plaque to form in blood vessels and on teeth.) Also good: Mix two even or 1 rounded tablespoon of Pysllium (available drug stores or health food stores) in acidic liquid. (Orange juice, tomato juice.) Stir in and drink quickly. Helps absorb moisture into the feces. COFFEE ENEMA for constipation or to periodically (monthly, weekly or daily if desired) cleanse the liver. 1) Into ½ quart of boiled hot water, stir or mix 1 - 2 tablespoons of instant coffee. (NOT decaffeinated.) 2) Add cold water until water is body temperature. (You will have about a quart of liquid in enema bag.) 3) Add to this mixture 1 - 3 teaspoons FOS powder (Fructose polymers available health food stores and as Inulin at Beyond A Century). Stir or shake gently. Pour mixture into enema bag and proceed. (The coffee stimulates the bile flow from the liver.)
BODY LANGUAGE Observe your stools (feces) for clues to your body’s health. COLOR WHITE OR LIGHT: Not enough bile in the liver, sign of possible liver dysfunction. RED: Hemorrhoids, fissures, lower bowel problems. BLACK: Too much iron or wrong kind, blood secretion in upper bowel. YELLOW: Liver dumping toxins, infection. Check medically if persists. BROWN: Normal
CONSISTANCY Loose Stool: When explosive or watery, sign of emotional distress. Hard Stool: Not retaining enough water in body. Longer feces is in the body, the harder it gets. Constipation: Can indicate not enough fiber in diet or holding back on emotions. No bowel movement past two days, seek medical help. Best if well or loosely formed. Should sink. If it floats, indicates gas.
FREQUENCY After every meal is ideal. Once a day is good.
LIVER When drinking alcohol, it is important to eat food and to ingest twice as much water as alcohol or toxicity can build up in the liver as alcohol dehydrates both the body and the brain cells. Headaches when drinking result from dehydration and destruction of brain cells. Pollution, poor diet, and chemicals cause toxins to increase in the body.
